John W. Heinz Regional History Center
This project consisted of renovating an 1886 ice warehouse into a complex historical museum. The project had a sophisticated environmental control system in the archival storage and required extensive coordination with the mechanical and electrical systems.
Pre-construction services included three budgets that were completed for this project: One during the schematic phase, one during the design development, and the final during the construction documents. The final budget then served as the Guaranteed Maximum Price. Jendoco Construction Corporation, with the cooperation of the Owner and Architect, then prepared a building trades potential subcontractor’s list, prepared bid packages and solicited bids for the project work.
Jendoco Construction Corporation also served as project coordinator between the base construction and the Exhibit construction for the core Exhibit on the 2nd floor and changing galleries on the 4th and 5th floors.
Due to our successful control of schedule, budget and Coordination, Jendoco Construction Corporation was again selected to complete the expansion of the History Center which opened in November 2004.
