Integrated Project Delivery, IPD, is a project delivery method that integrates people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication, and construction.  IPD is a mindset and an attitude change from that of risk-shedding to risk-sharing, where each project team member (owner, designer, contractor, sub-consultants, and sub-contractors) puts the goals of the project before their own.

While IPD can be a stand alone delivery method with a multi-party contractual arrangement between the Owner, Architect, and Contractor (Shown in the diagram); the fundamental aspects of an IPD can be instituted into the CM-At Risk and Contractor Led Design Build delivery methods.
