Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children Renovations
This project was interior renovations of the second floor of the Mary Schenley Building which houses the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. Jendoco Construction Corporation was brought to the project early on and provided Preconstruction Services and established both a schedule and a project budget that met the Owner’s needs.
The budget was then incorporated into a construction contract and the work proceeded. The project was completed with approximately $251,000 being returned to the Owner in the form of project savings and provided no disruptions to the ongoing operations of this sensitive facility.
Interior renovations included removal of structural bearing walls, refurbishing of existing gymnasium, creation of new offices, installation of a sprinkler system, new HVAC, equipment and infra structure, sound system in the gymnasium and interior finishes throughout.
