Galleria – Mall Renovation
This project involved the transformation of a former Kaufmann’s retail store, with two story parking under the building and an adjacent parking garage.
The building was stripped to bare concrete floors and block walls. Major structural demolition was completed to remove floors and roof to install a center clear story from the garage under the building up through the roof and a raised section of roof was installed from the front to the back of the building.
All new HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler and electric was installed throughout the entire building. Floors were leveled and marble was installed in the common area.
Passenger elevator and escalators were installed in the clear story section from the garage to the second floor.
A section of the building had the entire roof removed and raised approximately 12’ higher and a 6 screen cinema installed with an up-to-date sound system.
Many retail stores were completed by Jendoco Construction Corporation along with major structural repairs to the concrete parking garage.
