915-921 Penn Avenue

Jendoco served as the General Contractor for the exterior and lobby restorations for 915-921 Penn Avenue.

This work had to be done within the historic guidelines provided for this area. Specialty work included the replication of the original cast iron façade, replicating the light fixtures at the entrance, specialty glass at the storefronts and restoration of the terra cotta tile. The Lobby restoration carried the use of glass and natural daylight throughout the space to brighten the Lobby for the current and new tenants.

Jendoco was also able to salvage some original logos from the Stern Store that had been buried behind previous façade restorations. These were incorporated into the Lobby design.

Jendoco had to work closely with the City of Pittsburgh to obtain the proper permits and all work which was under the Historic Review Commission.
